Survey Birds of the Peruvian Amazon

Explore the brilliant diversity of birds in one of the most biodiverse regions on earth!

Join us for 10 days of bird surveying and bird-banding as we document the avifauna of our conservation area.  The site covers a mosaic of secondary and primary forest, palm swamp and some agricultural land along the Madre de Dios river in southeastern Peru.

We plan to work in different habitat types around the reserve and will leave plenty of time for birding and independent exploration of the reserve’s rainforest.  An overnight field trip to Lago Sandoval (more birds and giant river otters!) and to a parrot lick are also included.

July 9 - 17, 2018   WILDLIFE & NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY

There are plenty of opportunities to journey off the beaten path, seek adventure, and take lots of photos when you participate in one of CECCOT's Peruvian Amazon programs.    It's hard to imagine a better place to take photos of the natural world!
